Legal Service Consumer Panel - About us

The Correctional Services Accreditation Panel is a non-statutory body that helps the Ministry of Justice to develop and implement high quality offender programmes.

The Ministry of Justice shares responsibility for the criminal justice system with the Home Office and the Attorney General's Office, and is responsible for developing criminal justice and offender management strategy with other parts of the criminal justice system. The ministry sets the strategic direction for Her Majesty's Courts Service, in relation to criminal courts, and the National Offender Management Service, in relation to prisons and probation.

The Correctional Services Accreditation Panel is a non-statutory body that helps the Ministry of Justice to develop and implement high quality offender programmes. Its main work is to accredit programmes for offenders. The panel is chaired by David Griffiths, Head of Performance and Regulation at the Criminal Justice Group.
