Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group

This group is responsible for advising ministers and officials on reducing reoffending.

Role of the group

The Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group was established in 2008 to provide advice to ministers and officials on reducing reoffending.

It draws on voluntary sector expertise and works to present concerns and opinions about future priorities, issues and policies that might affect the sector.

Membership

The group is made up of representatives from across the voluntary and community sector. Members were recruited through open advertisement against a person specification. Meetings are held quarterly and are attended by senior officials from both the Ministry of Justice and HM Prison and Probation Service.
