The Strategic Investment Board is an advisory non-departmental public body set up by the Lord Chancellor at the beginning of 2001 to advise on the investment activities of the Public Guardianship Office, the Offices of Court Funds, Official Solicitor and Public Trustee.
The board advises the Lord Chancellor on general investment matters, appointing external investment managers and monitoring their performance. It does not provide advice on specific investments or monitor performance of non-panel fund investment managers.
