Publication of Annual Reports

The AJTC and its Scottish Commitee have today (9 October 2008) published their Annual Reports for 2007/8.
The AJTC has published its first Annual Report, bridging the last seven months of its predecessor body the Council on Tribunals and the first five months as the AJTC.
In his preface the Chairman, Lord Newton of Braintree, says "after a year in which we have looked back with some pride on nearly 50 years of the Council on Tribunals we are all now looking firmly forward to our future as the AJTC".
Publishing the report of the Scottish Committee its Chairman, Professor Alistair MacLeary, says "The Scottish Committee of the Administrative Justice and Tribunals Council is proud to be submitting its first report under the terms of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007 whereby we have taken on responsibility for keeping the whole of the administrative justice system in Scotland under review and providing advice on its improvement".
