The Claims Management Regulation Unit consults with trade associations, banking associations, consumer groups and other regulators to keep our stakeholders and industry involved with regulation and to share best practice on new or high profile developments, such as tackling mishandled PPI claims.
We work closely with other industry regulators and complaint handlers and have developed information sharing agreements and memoranda of understanding with the following organisations:

ACAS – organisation that works to prevent and resolve employment disputes
Advertising Standards Authority – independent body set up by the advertising industry to police the rules laid down in the advertising codes
Association of British Insurers – the trade association of the insurance industry
Association of Independent Financial Advisers – a trade association representing financial advisers
Association of Mortgage Intermediaries - a trade association representing mortgage intermediaries
Association of Personal Injury Lawyers – the specialist representative body for lawyers who act for claimants

First–tier Tribunal (Claims Management Services) - The role of the First-tier Tribunal (Claims Management Services) is to hear appeals from businesses and individuals who provide claims management services

Legal Ombudsman – an independent body that fairly resolves legal complaints
Motor Accident Solicitors Society – association of solicitors specialising in road traffic accident claims
National Debtline – provides free, confidential and independent advice on how to deal with debt problems. It is part of The Money Advice Trust, a registered charity.
Ofcom – independent regulator and competition authority for the UK communications industries
Office of Fair Trading – the UK’s consumer and competition authority. The OFT is responsible for licensing businesses that provide consumer credit services.
Solicitors Regulation Authority – the independent regulatory body of the Law Society of England and Wales, responsible for regulating solicitors.
