How to get there:

Haslar is approximately 1 1/2 miles from Gosport Town Centre and approximately 7 miles from Fareham Town Centre.

  • Bus: National express coaches arrive at The Hard, Portsmouth Harbour that is adjacent to Portsmouth Harbour Railway Station. Please follow information as below (train) for additional directions.
  • Train: The nearest railway station is Portsmouth Harbour, which is served by services from Waterloo and Victoria. Waterloo offers both fast and slow services. Turn left out of the station to catch the cross harbour ferry service to Gosport Town. It takes about 5 minutes and leaves every 10 minutes or so. Return ticket from the machines on the quay, exact change required. On arrival at Gosport, it is easiest to take a taxi from the taxi rank, although bus 11 is also available once every 2 hours. (If travelling by bus ask for the Qinetiq (pronounced kinetic) stop). From the bus stop, go around the corner, and you will see the Centre on the next junction. The total time to allow is about 2 ½ hours from London, if using the fast service.
  • From the M27: exit at junction 11, follow signs for Gosport A32 for about 4 miles. You will approach 2 roundabouts. Go straight across on the first roundabout, and take the 3rd exit on the second roundabout, Military Road. Take the 2nd exit on the next roundabout, Gomer Lane. This is one exit past the signpost for the centre. The official signs would take you through the town one way system. Take the 1st exit on the next roundabout it will take you along the sea front. You will come to a small roundabout, take the 2nd exit, Fort Road. Dolphin Way is on the right side.
  • Parking in Dolphin Way is usually impossible. As you go down Fort Road, past the golf course on the right, you will see a small stone tower on the right. This is at the entrance to a public car park area (NB rough ground!). Alternatively park along the road from then on. You will see the big green fence of our sports field on the right follow this along until you arrive at Dolphin Way (on your right). As you walk down Dolphin Way you will find the Gate House on your right. Please report here.
