Booking information: Visits can be be booked either by calling 01482 282016 or at http://www.gov.uk/prison-visits.
Visitors please note that from Friday 2 December the Visits Booking Office will close on Fridays at 15:30pm not 16:00pm.
To book visits 3 working days’ notice must be given – 24-hour’s notice is required to amend a visit that is already booked (before 9:00am for next day morning sessions, before 12:30pm for next day afternoon sessions). The booking staff are available Monday – Friday from 8:00am-12:30pm and 13:30pm – 16:00pm. This does not include Bank Holidays. Bookings cannot be taken over the weekend. Only email bookings that are made within business hours as given will be counted.
Additional information: Smoking is not permitted and the last admission is 30 minutes before the end of each session. There is a children's play area available every Tuesday, and there is good access for the disabled.

Prison Voicemail service
Social contacts can exchange voicemails with prisoners through the Prison Voicemail service, which is available at this establishment. Family members or friends sign up online and are given a unique landline phone number which they can call at any time to leave messages. The prisoner dials the same number from within the prison to listen and reply. You can find more information including pricing at www.prisonvoicemail.com.
How to get there: The prison is situated two miles east of the city centre, not far from the docks and ferry port.
- Bus From the bus station take number 76 East Yorkshire bus or number 24 (blue and white bus)
- Train Take a train to Hull (connections via Leeds and Doncaster) and complete the journey either by taxi (a taxi rank is available outside the station) or bus (the bus station is next to the railway station). See above for details of bus journeys.
- Car From London/South: Take M1 as far as junction 32 and join M18. At junction 7 join M62 eastbound, and at junction 38 join A63 and drive straight into Hull. Once in city centre follow signposts for Ferry Port. The prison is situated along Hedon Road just before the Ferry Port.
From Manchester/West: Take M62 and at junction 38 join A63 and drive straight into Hull. Once in city centre follow signposts for Ferry Port. The prison is situated along Hedon Road just before the Ferry Port.
From Newcastle/North: Once on A1/M1 southbound, travel to junction 33 and join the M62 east bound. At junction 38 join A63 and drive straight into Hull. Once in city centre follow signposts for Ferry Port. The prison is situated along Hedon Road just before the Ferry Port.
From the south (via the Humber Bridge): Join the A63 and drive straight into Hull. Once in city centre follow signposts for Ferry Port. The prison is situated along Hedon Road just before the Ferry Port.
Parking There is a free car park (No.4) for visitors to the prison on Southcoates Lane.
