Booking information: All domestic visits are pre-booked by prisoners themselves.

Additional information: 

The Visits Room has space for 23 visits in a relaxed environment. A refreshment bar is run by the NEPACS.  Prior to visits, all visitors have use of the prison’s own external coffee shop where there is also a valeting service at a very competitive price available.  

External Visits: Prisoners become eligible for community visits after an initial risk assessment and these are used to improve family ties and links with the community.

How to get there:

Bus:

A bus service is operated by Tees and District Transport Company. Route 270 runs throughout the day at ten minutes past the hour. This route passes through Yarm to Kirk Road. The stop is a few minutes walk from the prison. 

Train: 

The nearest railway station is Yarm which is half a mile from Kirklevington Grange. Alternatively you can travel to Darlington train station which is approximately 12 miles away and take a taxi to the prison. Please enquire at your local train station regarding travel arrangements. 

Car:

From The North

Travel south on the A19 and turn off at the Kirklevington and Crathorne exit. Follow the road through Kirklevington until you come to a roundabout (Shell Garage on roundabout). Turn right and then take the first right after that. Again take the first right into the prison car park.

Join the A19 from the A1 and take the Yarm turn off (A67). Follow the main road through Kirklevington until you come to a roundabout (Shell Garage on roundabout). Turn right and then take the first right after that. Again take the first right into the prison car park.

From the South:

Join the A19 from the A1 and take the Yarm turn off (A67). Follow the main road through Kirklevington until you come to a roundabout (Shell Garage on roundabout). Turn right and then take the first right after that. Again take the first right into the prison car park.
