Regime information for Wormwood Scrubs Prison

HMP Wormwood Scrubs is a local category B prison operating a standardised core day. Opportunities to reduce re-offending are available through education and training. There is one full time working wing.

Religious services are held for the principal faiths – Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh. Visiting chaplains minister to prisoners of other religions.

Prison staff work along side a Community Rehabilitation Company, to hold service users to account for the harm they have caused victims and communities and to help them gain knowledge, skills and support to help them stop offending and leave the criminal justice system in order for them to lead healthier, happier and more productive lives.  A number of charities work with the prison to help prisoners rehabilitate.

Chaplaincy:

The Chaplaincy at HMP Wormwood Scrubs works as a Multi Faith team. The five major religions (Church of England, Roman Catholic, Muslim, Sikh and Hindu) regularly worship in the prison. The other religions are represented by their faith ministers who visit regularly or upon request.
