Money Claim Online (MCOL) is part of the Northampton Bulk Centre and was set up in 2001 to support government policy in making justice affordable and accessible to all.

This online service allows county court claims to be issued for fixed sums up to £100,000 by individuals and organisations over the internet, anywhere, anytime. This pioneering work is the first example in this country of what has been called a ‘Cyber-Court’, and has drawn interest from governments around the world including Poland and the USA. MCOL is now issuing more claims than any local county court – 133,546 in 2010/11. 

MCOL enables a claimant to request a claim online, check the status of the claim and, where appropriate, request entry of judgment and enforcement by warrant of execution. Payment of the court fee is be either credit or debit card. Defendants can also use MCOL to reply to and check the status of their claims online.

The help desk is based at the Northampton Bulk Centre (CCBC), where the staff have experience of administering a centralised system.

Upon completion of registration with the Money Claim Online website please ensure you keep a note of the 12 digit User ID and your password.
