Finding your way around the website

On the top of every page, underneath the logo, there are five main navigation buttons: About us, What we do, News, Publications and Guidance, which take you directly to these sections of the website.

On the right-hand corner of every page there are four links: Contact us, Requesting information, Site map, and Accessibility and help.

If the information you want has just been published, check the 'News releases' panel and 'Recent updates' panel on the home page.

If you are not sure where to look for the information you want, you can use the site map or the website's own search engine to help you find the most likely pages.

To search the site, enter some 'keywords' in the search box, which is on the main home page and on the channel home pages. Try to use words that are most likely to occur in the page or document you are looking for. If you get too many results, add some keywords to narrow the search down if you get too few results, try fewer keywords.

If you get stuck, there is a 'home' link in the top left-hand corner of every page, which will return you to the main site home page or you can use the 'back' button in your browser to return to the previous page.

If a page has been updated but you are seeing an older version, try refreshing the page by pressing F5 or the 'refresh' button in your browser's toolbar.
