Standard appeal forms

The below forms are to be used if you are following the standard appeals process whether in or out of country.

IAFT-1 Form – Notice of Appeal to the First-tier Tribunal

For appeals against an entry clearance officer’s decision, you need to use the appeal Form IAFT-2 which is issued to you by the embassy or British High Commission when your application is refused. Form IAFT-2 is here for information only.

Applications refused under the points based system outside of the UK have limited right of appeal to the First-tier Tribunal. See www.ukvisas.gov.uk for more information.

IAFT-2 Form – Appeal against an Entry Clearance Officer's decision

The IAFT-2 form and guidance was updated in June 2010 to make the interpreter section clearer for customers and improve the quality of information provided to the Tribunal over interpreter requirements.

IAFT-3 Form – Exercising your right of appeal after having left the UK

Application for Anonymity

Application to the First-tier for permission to appeal to the Upper Tier

This form is to be used for the first step in challenging a decision made by the First-tier Tribunal.
