Registering a Lasting Power of Attorney
Fee: £130 to register each Lasting Power of Attorney application.
You can pay by credit or debit card, or by cheque.
If you wish to pay by debit or credit card, please indicate this clearly in your application form or covering letter and provide your telephone number.
Make cheques payable to 'The Office of the Public Guardian'.
Important:
- you can only register the 2007 version of the LPA form if you signed and correctly completed your form by 31 March 2011. After 1 April (if you did not sign a 2007 version of the LPA form by 31 March 2011) you will need to use the new forms on this page
- these forms are for registration of your LPA only. You will need to include either a 'Lasting Power of Attorney for Property and Financial Affairs (the instrument)' form or a 'Lasting Power of Attorney for Health and Welfare (the instrument)' form.
