We advertise vacant positions in the national press and are unfortunately unable to accept unsolicited CVs.
- Inspectors are drawn from many different backgrounds: they have been prison governors, or probation officers, social services staff or have worked in youth offending teams or have a background in immigration law. Researchers are drawn from the central Home Office RDS pool. Administrative positions are advertised in the national press.
- Specialist inspectors with expertise in healthcare and drugs also work at HMI Prisons. Staff should have familiarity with prison/IRC environments.
- We particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups.
