Details

The justice impact test is a mandatory specific impact test, as part of the impact assessment process that considers the impact of government policy and legislative proposals on the justice system.

The guidance sets out for policy officials the steps they need to take when developing proposals to assess and quantify the justice impacts, so that these impacts can be anticipated and planned for at an early stage.
