01 October 2008

The Ministry of Justice is launching an initiative to examine the barriers facing law students trying to pursue a career as a legal professional.

The project 'Barriers Leading into Law' will provide budding lawyers with free advice and support from Ministry of Justice life coaches. It will chart the journey of students through the process of gaining entry to the profession, examine obstacles in their way, and help assess their eligibility for judicial roles.

The initiative will be launched on 23 October 2008 by Justice Minister Bridget Prentice during Inside Justice Week, and will be attended by life coaches and students.

If you are an undergraduate law, Graduate Diploma in Law, Bar Vocational Course or Legal Practice Course student, want to pursue a legal career and wish to take part in the scheme, please contact Roianne Nedd by email or on 020 7210 8809.
