The Ministry of Justice is seeking views on new Parole Board rules, to make Parole Board cases faster and more efficient.

As an interim measure we are proposing to make a limited number of changes to the Parole Board rules to facilitate the efficient and timely consideration of cases. Further consultation will follow on further changes in due course.

Details of the proposal are set out in the letter and the draft rules, attached below.

We would be grateful for any feedback on the proposed changes.

The deadline for responses is Monday 24 November 2008.
