Circuit Judge Appointment – Venables

The Queen has appointed Karen Anne Venables to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Christopher Grayling MP.

The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Barnet County Court on a Salaried Part-time working basis (80%) with effect from Tuesday 4 June 2013.

Notes to editors

Karen Anne Venables, 53, will be known as Her Honour Judge Venables. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1986. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1999 and as a District Judge in 2003.
