District Bench appointment: Hart

HM The Queen has appointed Charlotte Mary Hart to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Kenneth Clarke QC MP with effect from Monday 5 September 2011.

The Right Honourable The Lord Judge, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, has assigned her to serve in the Bankruptcy jurisdiction of the London Insolvency District on the South Eastern Circuit, based at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Notes to editors

Charlotte Mary Hart, 47, will be known as District Judge Hart. She was admitted as a Solicitor in 1988, and was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2001.
