Factors linked to reoffending

Resettlement

A one-year follow-up of prisoners who took part in the Resettlement Surveys 2001, 2003 and 2004.

This study took the results from three resettlement surveys of prisoners, conducted in 2001, 2003 and 2004 shortly before release from prison, and combined them with criminal history and re-offending information from the Police National Computer to look at the association between resettlement factors – such as having accommodation and obtaining education, training and employment – and one-year reconviction rates.
