Details

This study was conducted by Ipsos MORI and aimed to inform the post-legislative review on the Freedom of Information Act (2000) via a Memorandum submitted to the Justice Select Committee.

Two strands of work have been used directly in the Memorandum. The first is a small-scale evidence review of publically available information and research on the operation of Freedom of Information.

The second involved telephone interviews with a range of public authorities to gather views and experiences of the respondents when responding to Freedom of Information requests.

The evidence review is at Annex D, and the interview findings at Annex E.
