Appealing to the Gangmasters Appeals Tribunal
Appeals may be lodged in respect of a full or provisional license by completing an application form.
Appeals may be lodged as 'normal' or 'fast-track'. The fast track (expedited) procedure will apply where the GLA has decided to revoke your license and the GLA’s decision has immediate effect (ie: it comes into effect five working days or less from the date of the decision document). In all other cases the normal procedure applies.
Where the form is sent by email and it is necessary to send supporting documents in hard copy form they should be attached to a hard copy of the completed form which must be clearly marked COPY. The documents should be sent immediately to the secretariat.
Alternatively you can appeal in writing, but you must;
- include an address to which notices and documents relating to the appeal are to be sent;
- state clearly and comprehensively the grounds of your appeal;
- attach all supporting documents referred to in your appeal
Appeals may be lodged as either ‘normal’ or ‘fast track’. Fast track cases will be exepditied. The fast track procedure applies when the GLA has decided to revoke a license and the decision has an immediate effect (e.g. it comes into effect 5 working days or less from the date of the decision).
