We are responsible for the law on divorce, dissolution of civil partnership, annulment of marriage or civil partnership, and any division of income and capital following that separation. We look at ways to make the law easier for non-lawyers to understand. We encourage the use of mediation to resolve any disputes, rather than the courts.
