An introduction to youth justice
The Open University has developed Exploring the Youth Justice System: an introduction, a new course specifically for practitioners working within the youth justice system. It is a short, interactive and flexible induction course designed to provide a range of entry-level activities to the YJB's National Qualifications Framework and benefits from being both material and web-based.
The course is suitable for all staff including administrators, sessional staff and volunteers. It provides initial induction training for effective practice in youth justice for new staff, as well as an update on current policy, practice and procedures for staff already in post.
The course also provides a taster for staff contemplating entry into the Open University Youth Justice Programme.
