Ashfield is a Category C adult male training prison built on the site of the former remand centre in the village of Pucklechurch on the North Side of Bristol.

Operational capacity: 400 as of 25th May 2007.

Accommodation: Single and double cells.

Reception criteria: Ashfield accepts adult men over the age of 18 who have been convicted of sexual offences (MCOSOs).  We offer a number of intervention courses as part of the Sexual Offender Treatment Programme, and various skills based courses to support reducing re-offending upon release.

Accommodation: Ashfield’s residential structure consists of two house blocks Severn and Avon each of which have 4 wings with ground floor and first floor accommodation.  We also have an EDC (Early Days Centre) where prisoners can spend time acclimatizing themselves into their new environment before being moved on to one of the wings.
